Measurement of low viscosity organic solvents
We supply different types of sphere probes in response to sample properties, the EMS viscometer EMS-1000S can measure wide viscosity range of sample in one unit by selecting the appropriate type of sphere probe. The viscosity range is from 0.1mPa・s to 1,000,000mPa・s.
Here, we introduce the application notes and movies of viscosity measurement of organic solvents by using optional φ1.5mm sphere probe which is best suited for low viscosity sample for accurate measurement. Conventional rotational viscometer cannot ignore mechanical friction-stress when measuring low viscosity sample. In contrast, EMS-1000S can apply small force to rotate sphere probe remotely from outside of disposable container. In addition, this small size of sphere probe is designed to minimize measurement error caused by friction-stress between sphere probe and sample container. You can observe the slight viscosity change in the low viscosity range accurately with our EMS-1000S and φ1.5mm sphere probe.
Thanks to a sealed container, EMS-1000S enables to perform reliable and safe measurement of highly volatile sample or harmful sample to human body, such as organic solvent.
